As per PAGASA, Tropical Depression VERBENA made landfall over Bayabas, Surigao del Sur earlier this afternoon. Again, we warn the residents of NE Mindanao (Caraga), Northern Mindanao, the whole of Visyas, and Palawan on the main threat of VERBENA: moderate to heavy rains that will cause isolated to widespread flooding and landslides. The wind is not a threat since VERBENA is a weak system. Follow the directives of your LGUs. Evacuate as needed or as mandated. Be safe, my friends! -RLM Image cred
