We Fix Stupid Computers on Instagram: "I cut open a 5.25” floppy disk and ran just the magnetic film inside an IBM XT drive. This is how we recovered data from liquid spills on floppies back in the day. No shell. No protection. Just raw magnetic media spinning and the read/write head flying across it. Back then your data lived on a thin sheet of plastic coated in iron oxide… and somehow we trusted it with everything. Mechanical computing was wild. Would you have tried this in 1983? #RetroTech #I
